Девушка обожает свою работу, ведь она может целыми днями присутствовать на репетициях великих мировых музыкантов. Однажды она становится свидетельницей ссоры дирижера Уолтера Дамроша с темпераментным пианистом Тони Салерно, который случайно роняет грубую фразу в ее адрес. Этим же вечером Тони приходит в скромную квартиру Норы просить прощения, молодые люди влюбляются друг в друга с первого взгляда и понимают, что созданы друг для друга.
