Ларри Делонг устраивается на работу охранником дилижансов после того, как при ограблении одного из дилижансов Дэном Мэрэди, были убиты члены его семьи. Он надеется что рано или поздно их пути пересекутся. Но и Мэрэди желает того же. Он устраивает Делонгу ловушку, желая убить его, однако злоба Пинто, оставившего связанного Делонга умирать под солнцем, нарушает его планы. Делонг освобождается и едет в город, чтобы предупредить, что Мэрэди собирается выманить шерифа с отрядом из города, а сам в это время нападет на казино. Но в городе ему никто не верит и, более того, его самого обвиняют в нападении на дилижанс. Делонгу приходится скрыться в забегаловке Фрица и предпринять решительные действия, чтобы спасти деньги и жизнь полковника Флинна, владельца казино…
