Сюжет строится на расследовании убийства шантажиста, связанного со спецслужбами. Первоначально подозрение падает на девушку по вызову. Но параллельно случаются несколько странных смертей высокопоставленных армейских офицеров, за которыми, как выяснится впоследствии, скрывается попытка организации государственного переворота. А поскольку в нынешнем мире власти, спецслужбы, военные, промышленники, мафия и криминал сплелись в едином клубке, полицейский комиссар Сольми, расследуя вроде бы заурядное убийство, невольно выходит и на организаторов убийств офицеров, хотя подобное расследование входит в обязанности не полиции, а спецслужб. Впрочем, последние вместе со всей системой правосудия пытаются затормозить расследование комиссара-одиночки.
