Жизнь новичка Аджая в общежитии омрачена злыми шутками Викрама и его друзей. В конечном счете это приводит к драке, итог которой – дружба между враждовавшими до сих пор парнями. Аджая принимают в группировку Викрама, времяпровождение в которой главным образом состоит из различных розыгрышей и уловок. Однажды они решают разыграть хозяина ювелирной лавки, требуя большой денежный выкуп, иначе им займется так называемая «Черная кобра». Им удается получить деньги, но жертва розыгрыша на следующий день оказывается убитой. Полицейские нападают на след парней, а таинственная «Черная кобра», оказывается не воображаемой, а вполне реальной.
