У нас было великое кино. Наша собственная фабрика грез. Наш особый путь в кинематографе. И наш собственный «Русский Голливуд». Как и в Голливуде, у нас был золотой век безусловных кассовых кинохитов, растащенных на цитаты, век стопроцентных звезд и… больших интриг. Абсолютно все наши любимые фильмы подверглись цензуре. По прямой указке сверху переписывались сценарии и переутверждались исполнители главных ролей, а некоторые фильмы попадали на «полку», где лежали до лучших времен. Какой была бы, скажем, «Бриллиантовая рука», если бы не давление партийных чиновников? Какой ее задумал сам Гайдай? Кто должен был играть главные роли? Какие сцены были вырезаны и можно ли их восстановить?
